My Scrappy Stuff Inventory Binder

Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that I am still here creating scrappy goodness, and I am not missing in action!  I am excited about having a blog, but it is a whole new avenue for me and I HAVE TO REMEMBER to post more often.  With that being said, I have been a busy scrapping lady...Since my last post I have completed my first Create 365 Design Team projects, attended the first Create 365 Monthly Launch Party, traveled to Houston twice, made several birthday cards, made flowers for a swap on scrapbook.com,  participated in  Christy Tomlinson's "She Art" class, and turned my keeping room into my very own scrap room!  I will share pictures of these creations and activities in my upcoming posts, but today I want to share one of my often used scrappy items...My Scrappy Stuff Inventory Binder.

I recently improved my binder by going from a plain pink plastic card binder to a binder made from chipboard and covered with My Mind's Eye Stella Rose paper. In my binder I keep samples of all of my mists, stickles, and inks as well as sketches for scrappy creations and  ideas for scrappy gifts.  The samples are great because they allow me to see the actual color of my mists, stickles, and inks when they are dry, and I refer to  this handy dandy binder quite a bit when I am creating.  I actually keep it in my Totally Cool Tote unless I am going shopping, and then I just drop it in my purse. Just last week I went scrappy shopping in Baton Rouge with my dear friends Kristy and Wendy. They chuckled everytime I pulled my binder out of my purse, but I didn't buy one duplicate item. Yay me!!

Here are a few pictures of my new and improved Scrappy Stuff Inventory Binder...I hope you enjoy taking a look!

Thank you for dropping into Inspired Bayou Designs today, I hope you find time to create this week!
Hugs until we meet again,
Becki

My First Blog Post!

Hello everyone!  Welcome to Inspired Bayou Designs.  I am really excited to get this blog up and running so that I can share my scrapping inspirations and creations.
Before I go any further I have to thank my very dear friend, Kristy Anderson, for not only introducing me to scrapbooking, but for putting together the blog layout that you see. The header picture is actually from http://www.backgroundfairy.com/, but Kristy spent her time changing the picture, background colors, and fonts until I finally said, "It's perfect!"
I hope that your visits to Inspired Bayou Designs will give you ideas and inspirations for your own crafty creations. Perhaps some of my stumbling blocks when trying new techniques will help prevent you from repeating my mistakes. (Athough "mistakes" are just a great excuse to use more bling or flowers on your project!)
Since this is my first blog post, I want to share one of my favorite creations with you:

Live The Life You Have Imagined

I created this project using a 12x12 chipboard frame, Webster's Pages Life Portrait Collection paper, Webster's Pages Whimsies, Birdcage rub-on from Michaels's, laser-cut birds, embroidery thread, stickles, grey bling, and handmade rosebuds.

I actually entered this project into a contest hosted by Becky Neeman  on  http://pagesintimestoresite.ning.com , and I won! Thank you again, Becky! If you haven't visited  http://pagesintimestoresite.ning.com you're missing out on some gorgeous creations shared by sitemembers from around the globe. Do yourself a favor and visit today!

Hugs until we meet again,

Becki
